A valuable agricultural project
We are looking for project leaders who want to undertake and engage in agriculture, graduate profiles who are interested in the development of modern agriculture, in a dynamic of investment and who want to play a full part in the cooperative.
In a context marked by the retirement of 50% of the agricultural workforce by 2030, leading to a reorganization of the sector that is already being observed, Sicoly is no exception to this trend.
However, we are presenting an original model of territorial development that brings value that we wish to defend, because it presents assets and opportunities to welcome new project leaders in the years to come.
Sixty-three years after the creation of our organisation in 1962, we have been able to meet many challenges, because we have never failed in certain fundamentals, which have made us successful: placing quality at the heart of the cooperative project, to differentiate ourselves and better value our fruit. A line that still guides the steps of producers today and tomorrow, through the signature: “respect for the fruit”.

Our strengths
Favor local
At Sicoly, we are committed to staying close to our producers, suppliers and service providers. To do this, we select them carefully. Indeed, we have more than 100 member farms and all are located within a radius of 50 km around the cooperative.
On the supplier side, 25% of the supplies of the processing activity and 99.9% of the fresh activity are local.
Recycling our packaging
Always with the desire to preserve the environment, from 2020, before the implementation of the legal obligation, SICOLY packaged its red fruits in trays made of 100% recyclable and recycled cardboard.
Today, the cooperative wishes to go further in this approach and new packaging is being studied.
Fighting against food waste
At SICOLY, every fruit counts! The most “perfect” ones fill our shelves or those of the supermarkets, while the “raw picking” fruits are offered at low prices in our Terres Lyonnaises store, ideal for your jams and compotes.
Less aesthetic but healthy fruits are transformed into frozen purees in our workshops, for sorbets and pastries. Nothing is lost, everything is to be savoured!
Recovering waste
Each year, we recycle 10 tonnes of co-products in the cosmetics sector (fruit achenes).
We are in the process of developing the anaerobic digestion sector, representing 100% of the volumes of downgraded fruit that cannot be recovered, thus allowing the production of biogas. In addition, we are also conducting a study on new outlets, particularly in animal feed.

The complexity of producing tomorrow in the face of global warming and the resurgence of emerging pests, but also the growing urbanization that is nibbling away at our production territories, are threats that are disrupting our balances.
In this context, Sicoly has chosen to strengthen its cooperative project, to give it a new dimension and attract new producers. For the future, our objectives are clear:

With all these commitments and developments, we producers wish to welcome new project leaders to continue to grow.
Our production companies are not only viable, with turnkey tools to be delivered for those who wish to enter this transmission-installation phase, and our cooperative fully facilitates this transition: all Sicoly services are mobilized to provide the technical and financial expertise necessary for the success of the activity.
- Special aid for young people
A flat-rate aid of at least €2,000/ha for the establishment of orchards and a cash advance for productive investments (rolling envelope of €300,000).
- Technical and economic sheets
for each species, to project themselves into the establishment of a new crop.
- Administrative support
when looking for suitable financial aid, and support throughout the application. Membership of Sicoly also allows access to the European Fund of the Operational Programme (OP).
- The support of SICOLY® services
Two arboricultural technicians, to support the cultural choices and provide technical advice. The quality department provides assistance in the implementation and monitoring of certifications (Organic, HVE 3, etc.)
