A high-altitude terroir, full of light
The cultivation on well-exposed slopes, combined with a late production period, gives SICOLY® strawberries prolonged sunshine and cooler nights at the end of the season: a perfect duo for fruits rich in sugar, aroma and colour. This unique terroir gives birth to a strawberry with a powerful, naturally sweet taste… To be enjoyed plain, without sugar or whipped cream!
Controlled, protected and committed production
The strawberry is a delicate fruit, sensitive to climatic variations. To guarantee the regularity of the supply and the quality of the fruit, SICOLY® producers invest in crops under cover, effectively protecting the fruit from frost, hail or rain.
This technical approach preserves the integrity of the strawberries throughout the harvest, while limiting losses and extending the marketing season.
Varieties selected for taste
In close collaboration with the producers, the cooperative’s technical department evaluates and selects the most suitable varieties each year: intense flavour, good hold, natural resistance, adaptability to the terroir, etc. so many criteria that make it possible to reconcile gustatory pleasure and agricultural performance.
