Our commitments
Social & Environmental
For 60 years, the cooperative group has been uniting its cooperative members around strong commitments and has done everything possible to promote a set of good social and especially environmental practices in the member farms, for fruit production that respects both Nature and those who work with it.
Building together
A 100% sustainable future
The SICOLY cooperative, SICA des Coteaux du Lyonnais, was born in 1962 in Saint-Laurent-d’Agny, from the association of several producers wishing to better promote their fruit on the French market.
Since its creation in 1962, the SICOLY cooperative has been committed to more responsible agriculture. From its local roots to its packaging, including the recovery of its waste, the cooperative implements all the means at its disposal to respect the fruit, people and the environment. It also undertakes numerous research projects aimed at optimizing its processes, for a 100% sustainable future.
Everyday life
Our environmental commitments
Our fruits are good for your health
as mentioned in rare unanimity by the world scientific community (and in France the legitimate body that is Aprifel, the Agency for Research and Information in Fruits and Vegetables).
The red fruit market is growing steadily
Because consumers are looking for these “healthy products”, ideal for “healthy snacking”. The processed fruit market (50% of our turnover) is also growing, driven by changes in the way we consume fruit in all its forms (practicality, conviviality, new moments of consumption, etc.).
The optimal valorization of all our productions
Thanks to the diversity of our outlets: mass distribution and local trade for the “fresh” activity (50% of our recoveries) and industrial processing (bakery-pastry, cafés-hotels-restaurants, ice cream parlours, etc.), which is booming. In this processing market, we are opening up new product developments (purees, juices, coulis, inserts, IQG fruits, concentrates, zests, and tomorrow compotes and jams, etc.).
Our Cooperative Organization
The pooling of our production, packaging and commercial resources as well as the services developed (technical monitoring, quality, etc.) allow us to position ourselves in the various target markets and generate more value for our productions, while demonstrating flexibility and pragmatism: our producers can promote some of their productions in direct sales if they wish, up to 25% of their volumes.
Ahead of the curve through regular investments
The gradual and continuous growth of our activities has required building extensions, particularly in the frozen part, and investment in new production equipment to control quality as well as possible. We were the first cooperative to invest in an optical sorting grader for cherries with an integrated hydrocooling system.

Our CSR policy
At SICOLY-SICODIS, Corporate Social Responsibility is at the heart of our cooperative model. Our approach is based on three major pillars: valuing people, preserving the environment and defending our terroir.
This translates into global but also personalized support for our local producers, a strong anchoring in our territory and a priority given to sustainable partnerships. Committed to responsible agricultural practices, we also invest to reduce our carbon footprint, control our consumption and recover our waste. A responsible vision, at the service of quality and taste, today and for tomorrow.
We are in the process of updating this CSR policy. We will publish it here for the sake of transparency as soon as it is finished.
CSR policy
Specific governance
Our cooperative model means that in our country, it is our member producers (cooperative members) who control the cooperative.
Governance is democratic (1 person = 1 vote at the general meeting) and the operational management, delegated to employees, is collegial. We also promote transparency of strategy and results with our employees, which is why they benefit from two annual meetings to learn everything about the life of the cooperative! Cooperative governance is values, ethics, practices that are consistent with them and an everyday requirement.
Focus on
Gender Equality Index
Each year, the UES SICOLY-SICODIS calculates the “Gender Equality” Index. This index gives companies with fewer than 250 employees a score out of 100 points based on 4 criteria:
- Pay gap indicator
- Indicator Differences in rate of increase
- Indicator return from maternity leave
- High Remuneration Indicator
- not calculable
- 25/35
- 15/15
- 5/10
The SICOLY-SICODIS UES maintains its commitment to the promotion of the principle of equal pay between women and men for the same level of responsibility, skills and performance.
Our Pillar
Acting on employment
We welcome more than 100 local seasonal workers from time to time during the high summer season.
