SICOLY® passionately grows a wide variety of small red fruits in the heart of the Monts et Coteaux du Lyonnais. This territory with its gentle reliefs, ideal exposure and temperate climate is a real natural setting for these demanding crops.
From May to September, our orchards offer generous and regular harvests, thanks to a local and trained workforce, often from nearby Lyon universities. A strong link between agricultural tradition, varietal innovation… and passion for taste.
Blackcurrant – Noir de Bourgogne, the must-have
Grown mainly in the Noir de Bourgogne variety, our blackcurrant is known for its exceptional aromatic power. This ancient variety, very popular with gastronomy professionals, gives juicy berries with a tangy taste. Part of the harvest is transformed into frozen puree, in order to preserve all its freshness and taste complexity.
Redcurrant, a whole range of flavours
Delicate and luminous, the redcurrant thrives perfectly on our land. SICOLY® grows different varieties:
A beautiful diversity to meet all desires for freshness and culinary creativity.
Blackberry – Subtly Wild
If blackberries often evoke memories of picking in the forest, SICOLY® cultivates a variety selected for its roundness and sweetness, without bitterness. A generous and greedy blackberry, harvested at perfect maturity to reveal its full potential, fresh or transformed.
Blueberry – Today’s Bay
Renowned for its nutritional virtues (rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fiber), the blueberry also seduces for its taste that is both sweet and fruity. Appreciated both raw and cooked, it can be used in healthy recipes (porridge, smoothie bowl, granola, etc.) as well as in more classic desserts. This fruit is booming and very trendy.
A humane and sustainable approach
Picking red fruits requires precision and care. The proximity of Lyon allows SICOLY® to rely each year on a reservoir of local workers, often students, loyal and involved. This model allows for an optimally ripe harvest, while supporting the local economy and promoting a strong territorial anchoring.
